The Programat S1 is a light-weight and compact sintering furnace for the sintering of frameworks made of IPS e.max ZirCAD and other ZrO2 materials. Its particular advantage is the short processing time, which positively affects the fabrication time of zirconium oxide crown and bridge frameworks as well as the energy consumption.

 With the Programat S1, long sintering processes are a thing of the past. It sinters single-tooth frameworks of zirconium oxide material in 90 minutes. Conventional sinter furnaces usually take five to eight hours for this process. What does a short sintering process mean for the laboratory? Crowns and bridges with a zirconium oxide framework can be fabricated in one work day (including veneer). The short sintering process does not jeopardize the high material strength and accuracy of fit of the restoration, as scientific investigations have shown. Furthermore, less power is used. With the introduction of the power-saving Programat S1 furnace, Ivoclar Vivadent successfully continues its line of furnaces featuring the Power Saving Technology.

The press and ceramic furnaces Programat EP3000 and EP5000 are ideally adjusted to the processing of the IPS e.max Press ceramics (IPS e.max Press and ZirPress).

These combination furnaces are suitable for the processing of press ceramics (IPS e.max Press/ZirPress or IPS Empress Esthetic) as well as for firing layering ceramics (e.g. IPS e.max Ceram) or the crystallization of IPS e.max CAD.

Ceramic furnace

The current ceramic furnace generation from Ivoclar Vivadent is called Programat P300/G2, P500/G2 and P700/G2. The innovative heating muffle technology for homogeneous heat irradiation allows excellent firing results to be achieved for your ceramic restorations. Furthermore, they are used for the crystallization of IPS e.max CAD restorations.

Light-weight and compact: This is how the new sintering furnace Programat S1 from Ivoclar Vivadent presents itself. Its major advantage lies in the short sintering period, which not only reduces the manufacturing time of zirconium oxide crown and bridge frameworks but also saves energy.

 Programat S1 puts an end to lengthy sintering procedures: It allows single-tooth zirconium oxide restorations to be sintered in only 90 minutes. By contrast, conventional sintering furnaces require five to eight hours for this process. For the laboratory, a short sintering process means that veneered zirconium oxide-based crowns and bridges can be fabricated within a single working day. The high strength of the material and its accuracy of fit are not affected by the short sintering cycle, as has been confirmed in various scientific studies. In addition, the power consumption of the laboratory is reduced. With the introduction of the energy-saving Programat S1 furnace, Ivoclar Vivadent continues to pursue its strategy of providing equipment based on “Power Saving Technology“.

Innovative technology
 Weighing in at only 28kg, the compact Programat S1 is definitely a lightweight among the sintering furnaces. However, it is no lightweight when it comes to technology: Programat S1 can be calibrated and therefore the sintering temperature can be checked at any time and adjusted if necessary. The OSD operating status display allows the current state of the sintering process to be reliably checked - even from a distance.

Programat S1 will be available worldwide from October 2009 onwards.
