About the IPS e.max system
Today, IPS e.max is the leading all-ceramic material used in dentistry, with more than 40 million restorations placed worldwide to date. A lithium disilicate glass-ceramic optimized for translucency, durability and strong fully anatomical restorations, IPS e.max demonstrates the opalescence and light diffusion properties that replicate natural tooth structure for beautiful and undetectable restorations.
When fabricated to full contour, the monolithic structure provides an extremely robust restoration, and the material exhibits superior durability of 360-400 MPa of flexural strength. IPS e.max is supported by more than 10 years of clinical research and evidence that demonstrates its durability and 98.2% crown survival rate (Source: IPS e.max System Scientific Report Vol.1/2001-2011, Ivoclar Vivadent AG).
